Great.
Thanks for all the info.
Need a little more on certain aspects.
My Plan is:
2 ESXI Host:
Host A: 8GB RAM / 2.3 XEON
- VM1 > GPU PASS-TROUGH > Linux based XBMC HTPC
- VM2 > GPU PASS-TROUGH > Linux based XBMC HTPC
- VM4 > FreeNAS
Host B: 8GB RAM / 3GHz Core2Duo
- VM1 > Windows 2008 R2 Server
- VM2 > FreeNAS
- VM3 > Ubuntu or Arch server
Host C: 8GB RAM / 3GHz Core2Duo
- VM1 > GPU / Sound card / USB PASS-TROUG > Window 8 Gaming Machine (very mild..)
VM A1 and A2 > very little use
Eac Host with 8GB RAM. one 3GHz
One pool with equal share of resources to all machines.
Lets say I assign 10GB memory to VM C1
Would I be over committing memory or will it "borrow" from host 1/2?
Lets say I run a multi thread app on VM C1, will it use all CPU power available between all 3 hosts?
