Re: Can't resize the guest OS Installer Program

Okay, I downloaded the ISO Image and validated it against its published MD5 checksum and then had no problems installing SolydXK while setting the Guest's Display to as low as 1024x768.  I tried this with both VMware Player and VMware Workstation under both Windows and Ubuntu Linux and also VMware Fusion under OS X.  So under the circumstances I'm not sure that I see this as a VMware issue however without additional testing, which I really don't have time to do, I therefore can't be totally sure of that.

That said, if you want to predominantly use the Keyboard to install, then here are the steps...

Starting at the SolydXK Installer Screen...

Language

Tab 3 times and press Enter...

Timezone

Tab > Enter > Up/Down Arrow Keys then Enter to select Location > Tab 3 times and press Enter...

Keyboard Layout

Enter (Because the defaults were correct.)

User Info

Tab 2 times to Enter full name.

Type your full name then press Tab to Your username.

Type your user name then Tab to Your Password.

Type your password then Tab to retype your password then tab to Hostname.

Type the Hostname then Tab 3 times and press Enter...

Partitioning

Press Enter to accept Yes on the Installation Tool information message box.

With the mouse, right-click on a device to assign that device to root (/).  (I selected /dev/sda2 selecting: Assign to /)  BTW This was the only place I had to use the Mouse.

Then Tab 5 times and press Enter...

Summary

  Press Enter...

Installing SolydXK...

Wait till it's installed and press Enter when the Installation finished information message box appears.
