Network issue between to VMs on the same switch

Hello,

I am stuck on an issue with my small network.  I have an ESXi 5 host that is hosting approximately 10 virtual machines.  The last two machines I have setup recently are displaying an unexpected behavior.  I am unable to ping between the two machines nor into the these 2 VMs from anywhere else within the same subnet or from other networks.  From these two VMs I am able to ping out and have network connectivity.  Both of these VMs reside on the same vSwitch and belong to the same port group as the other machines.

The configuration for these two VMs appears to be identical to all of the other VMs that are working fine.  Both guest VMs are running Windows Server 2008 R2.

So far I have tried multiple static IP address and DHCP assignments with the same effect.  (Including moving a known working static IP address from another VM to one of the problem VMs)  I have tried removing and recreating one of the VMs completely.  I have also completed an upgrade from 5.0 to 5.1 for the vCenter, ESXi host, and all of the VMs and I am still observing the same behavior.

Any advice on what to check next would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Greg
