I am having a strange issue that I have wasted way too many brain cells on; so I am hoping someone can help me out a bit. I have a large number of Dell R815 hosts running ESXi 5.1 GA Patch 9 under vCenter 5.1b. Up until recently, I have been running the Dell OpenManage Plugin for vCenter without issue (appliance version up to current, 1.7x and running OM vib 7.1). I have recently added some new R815's, but they are running the latest version of ESXi (U1, build 1157734) and OM vib 7.3. I have had no issues with the install of anything. The Dell Server Manager tab in vCenter works fins; I see the dash board for the server and it's green across the board. Whenever I try to launch the firmware update wizard, I get the following. For the record. I have 11 new servers all running 5.1U1 that are doing the same thing...so it is not just one box. Even though it is not supported, I tried installing both the 7.1 and 7.2 agent instead of 7.3....same issue. I have performed soft and hard resets of the iDRAC. Manually updated it to current (v1.95) and still nothing. I am at a loss. I have done nothing different with setting these servers up as compared to the existing ones in the cluster. I am opening up a ticket with Dell, but I though I would post something here up as well. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
