The guest operating systems are not aware of this datastore. When you create VMs the virtual disks are files located on VMFS datastore(s) and these files are presented to the guest operating systems, as if they were real disks. Each virtual machine can only see and access the virtual disks you assigned to it. I'd suggest you go ahead and create one of the VMs and then use the Datastore Browser to see how this looks like on the datastore(s).
